'8 to 10 crore devotees present in Mahakumbh, situation under control'; CM Yogi made this appeal to the people

  After the stampede in Mahakumbh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is continuously taking updates from the top officials present in the Kumbh Mela area. He also appealed to the devotees to take bath only at the ghats near which they are and avoid going towards Sangam Nose. He said that many ghats have been built for bathing, which can be used. CM Yogi has asked to follow the instructions of the administration.

CM Yogi said - There is a huge crowd of devotees in Mahakumbh. Today, about 8 to 10 crore devotees are present in Sangam Nagri. A day before the Amrit Ishnaan of Mauni Massaya, 5.5 crore devotees had taken bath.

Crowd pressure towards Sangam Nose
On the stampede in the Mela area, the Chief Minister said that there is a lot of pressure due to devotees going to Sangam Nose. Some devotees were seriously injured after jumping from the barricades on Akhara Marg between 1 and 2 am. They were immediately taken to the hospital. They are under constant medical supervision. Also, the administration at the local level is busy ensuring safe bathing of the devotees.

PM Modi taking continuous updates
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has taken information about the arrangements for the safe bathing of the devotees in the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj four times in a row since morning. BJP President J.P. Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have also been continuously taking information about the devotees since morning.

High-level meeting underway
A high-level meeting is underway with the DGP, Principal Secretary and other senior officials to ensure smooth bathing of the devotees. The situation in Prayagraj is currently under control but the pressure of the crowd is very high.

Don't pay attention to rumors: Chief Minister Yogi
The Chief Minister said that there is a constant crowd on Sangam, Nagavasuki and Akhara Marg. People are appealed not to pay attention to rumors. Work with patience. This event is for the people. The administration is dedicated to their service. The government is ready to provide all possible assistance with full force. It is not necessary that Sangam should come only towards Noz. Temporary ghats have been built within a radius of 15-20 km, take bath wherever you are.
