Trump, who became president, gave a shock to Pakistan, stopped economic aid; Know what will be the impact of America's decision

  The US has temporarily halted aid to Pakistan after an executive order from President Donald Trump. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB), which oversees the federal budget, said in an order that the freeze will remain in place until the administration ensures that it is aligned with the Republican president’s priorities.

As part of a 90-day foreign aid freeze, the Trump administration on Tuesday moved to halt the distribution of medicines for HIV, malaria and tuberculosis, as well as medical supplies for newborns, to countries supported by the US Agency for International Development.

According to the US Embassy in Islamabad, US aid also helps preserve historic buildings, archaeological sites and museums. The Trump administration’s decision has also halted five energy-related projects in Pakistan.

Military aid has been banned
