''Never seen such a sight before...', GSLV-F15 rocket launch, ISRO creates history; Video surfaced

  The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) today successfully launched its historic 100th mission. The mission carried a navigation satellite aboard the GSLV rocket. Hours later, ISRO shared a minute-long onboard footage from GSLV-F15 during the launch of NVS-02. The mission was the first for the space agency's new chairman V. Narayanan. ISRO also posted about it on X.

Failed 6 times
Out of 16 launches so far, the rocket has failed 6 times, which is a huge failure rate of 37 per cent. In comparison, India's latest launch vehicle Mark-3, also known as the 'Baahubali' rocket, has a success rate of 100 per cent.

100th mission launched from Sriharikota
GSLV-F15 is the 17th flight of GSLV and the 11th flight with indigenous cryogenic stage. This was the eighth operational flight of GSLV with indigenous cryogenic stage and the 100th launch from Spaceport Sriharikota.
