Rajasthan High Court holds parents responsible in coaching student suicide case, says - Aspiring parents place high expectations on their children

Jas, Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court has held the parents responsible in the suicide case of a coaching student. The bench of Justices Inderjit Singh and Vinod Kumar has commented that the problem of children is not the fault of the system but the parents who expect more performance from their children than their capabilities. The judge said that such parents often say that you should pass and come home, otherwise of course you will not enter the house. There is pressure from such parents on the children during their studies. The state government will have to tell the court within eight weeks how many such coaching institutes there are in the state and how many of them were registered till May. It is worth mentioning that so far 14 students in Kota had committed suicide or it is being said that they died under suspicious circumstances. The court has done this while hearing the suicide case of coaching students.

During the hearing, Advocate General Rajendra Prasad said that the state government is preparing a Control and Regulation Resolution regarding coaching institutions. In this, suggestions have been sought from the coaching institutions while including them. The guidelines given by the Central Government have also been included in it. In the previous hearing, it was said that even after several orders of the court, the results have not come out. The Central Government had said that they had prepared the guidelines and given them on 16 January 2024.
