  US President Donald Trump, in a U-turn on his comments, has now praised British soldiers fighting in Afghanistan. In this regard, he posted on social media and said that the great and very brave soldiers of the United Kingdom will always be with the United States of America. He described the British soldiers killed in Afghanistan and the soldiers injured in the war as great warriors.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer had insisted that US President Donald Trump apologize for his such comments. Mr. Trump had said that during the war against Afghanistan, the soldiers of NATO countries, including Britain, remained away from the front lines during the war while the American soldiers were at the forefront.
