  Republic Day 2026- India's 77th Republic Day is not just a national event, but a symbol of the country's historical journey and future vision. 'Vande Mataram' was composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1875 and became the voice of the struggle against the British Raj during the Swadeshi Movement of 1905. It was first published in the novel 'Anandamath' in 1882. Rabindranath Tagore sang it for the first time in 1896 during the session of the Indian National Congress.
