AIIMS doctors clash, investigation team formed; surgery stalled for several hours

In fact, there is a lot of pressure from patients in the Orthopaedic Department. While only five out of seven operation theatres are functioning. There was a fight between the Orthopaedic and Anaesthesia doctors over which doctor will call the patient for surgery in the OT.

Three patients were taken to OT

When the matter escalated, three patients were kept in the OT, out of which two patients had already been given anesthesia and their surgery was delayed for about an hour and a half. This incident is dated February 25.

It is being told that the doctor of the Anaesthesia Department did not ask the patients to go out of the OT.

On this matter, AIIMS had said a day ago that no patient's surgery was postponed, but when asked about forming a committee to investigate the incident, Dr. Reema Dada, in-charge of AIIMS' media department, did not respond.
