Talk of misgovernance in UP: Akhilesh

  Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that corruption and misgovernance have increased in Uttar Pradesh. He said that as the suffering of the people increases, the Backward Classes, Dalits and Minorities (PDA) movement will become stronger. Mr. Yadav questioned the claims of development of the BJP-led government in the state during a press conference at the party headquarters here. “We are not getting development. Where is it? The pipelines that are being laid are pipelines of corruption,” he said. Alleging irregularities in infrastructure projects, he claimed that water tanks are bursting due to poor quality and corruption is clearly visible at the ground level.

Mr. Yadav said, “As the suffering of the people increases, our PDA (Backward Classes, Dalits and Minorities) movement will increase.” He said that the SP will continue its efforts to unite the people to protect democracy and the secular fabric of society.
