Meanwhile, progress has been made in the investigation of the black box. On June 24, the Crash Protection Module (CPM) was safely removed from the front black box and on June 25, the memory module was successfully accessed and its data was downloaded to the AAIB lab.

What is the purpose?

Currently, the CVR and FDR data are being analyzed. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said that the aim of these efforts is to determine the cause of the accident and identify contributing factors to enhance aviation safety and prevent future incidents.

What is a black box?

Every aircraft has a black box.

This device traces the main components of the aircraft.

The black boxes installed in commercial flights consist of two devices.

The first is the flight data recorder (FDR), which records key items or parameters.

The second is the cockpit data recorder (CVR), which records all sounds that occur in the cockpit.

Black boxes store their data in memory chips.

Black boxes are very durable and also have the ability to withstand water.
