'Talks with the Centre will only happen when there is no Punjab government...', farmer leader Dallewal said - the fight is still unfinished

The United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) has made it clear that talks with the central government on the Minimum Support Price (MSP) will take place only when ministers and officials of the Punjab government are not involved. SKM leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, while talking to reporters on Wednesday, said that the talks could not move forward due to the Indo-Pak war. Now a new letter will be written to the central government for talks soon. Earlier on May 4, when SKM refused to attend the meeting with the representatives of the Punjab government, the Agriculture Minister had appealed to the farmer leaders to reconsider their decision. He had appealed that the country has a federal structure and state governments have an important role in it, so you reconsider and tell us about it so that we can give a new date.

Dallewal also said that the fight for the MSP Guarantee Act is still incomplete, the struggle will continue to win it. In this context, a huge Kisan Mahapanchayat will be organized in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu on July 5. Notices are being sent for cases registered against farmers on Shambhu, Khanauri and Ratanpura fronts.

If the Haryana government does not withdraw these cases, a big program will be announced in the SKM national meeting to be held in Bengaluru on July 6. The Punjab government's land pooling scheme is a conspiracy to snatch the land of farmers.

Khanauri-Shambhu border agitation ended fraudulently

Dallewal said that the Punjab government has tried to end the Khanauri and Shambhu border agitation fraudulently, due to which the farmers have suffered losses. From February 13, 2024 to March 19, 2025, the Khanauri front received financial assistance of Rs 34,32,567 from the public, while Rs 37,65,539 was spent. On February 21, 2024, farmers' tractors were vandalized by the police, the repairs of which cost Rs. 8,98,654.
