Khalistan supporters have become a problem for Canada, Canadian journalist said – 'I was treated like a goon, I am still shaking'

Canadian investigative journalist Mocha Bezirgan said that a group of Khalistan supporters surrounded and threatened him in the city of Vancouver. The incident occurred while he was filming and taking pictures of a downtown rally of Khalistan supporters over the weekend. “It all happened two hours ago and I’m still shaking,” Bezirgan said. “They behaved like goons, surrounded me, took my phone and tried to stop the recording.” He added that all this happened for a short time but the situation was very scary. Mocha said that he had gone to cover the rally, in which Khalistan supporters had gathered. During this time, he saw that these people were openly praising violence and saying inflammatory things against India.

‘These people were praising the murderers of Indira Gandhi’

Mocha Bezirgan expressed deep concern over Khalistani extremism. He said, "Due to the tension between Canada and India, this issue has become very political, but we are ignoring the ground reality. These people are openly praising the killers of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. They say that we are their heirs and like them, talk about ending the politics of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I asked them, will you end Modi's politics the same way Indira Gandhi's politics ended?" He said that these people call themselves descendants of Indira Gandhi's killers and appreciate these acts of violence. Bezirgan said that he is surprised to hear all this how some people are encouraging violence in the name of freedom.

Sikhs for Justice exposed

Bezirgan said that this movement is being run by an organization called 'Sikhs for Justice' (SFJ). "These people organize rallies. Most of the faces are the same, whether it's Ontario, British Columbia, the US, the UK or New Zealand. These people call people from local gurdwaras so that the crowd can gather. But behind this are big political organizations, like the World Sikh Organization based in Canada, which has a history full of controversies."

The Canadian journalist added that the World Sikh Organization gives political cover to these activities in Canada. Bezirgan believes that due to the tension between Canada and India, this issue is coming up more in the air, but ignoring these activities happening on the ground can be dangerous.

What did the Canadian journalist say about the Khalistani threat to Indira Gandhi and PM Modi?

The journalist warned that this attitude of Khalistani supporters has become a cause for concern. They are not only encouraging violence, but also raising inflammatory slogans against India.

"These people talk about ending the politics of the Indian Prime Minister on platforms like the G-7. This is not just a matter of freedom, but a conspiracy to promote violence," Bezirgan said. He also said that the incident that happened to him in Vancouver was no coincidence. He says it shows how low some people can stoop to suppress their voices. Bezirgan finally said that he is not going to be intimidated by such threats and will continue to bring the truth to the fore.
