The official said that a phone call was received at 9:03 am, informing about the presence of a bomb in these monuments. After a while, security teams reached the spot. A fire tender was sent to the spot and a thorough search was conducted at both the places. However, no suspicious object was found during the investigation.

Security agencies step up surveillance

The incident has taken place at a time when the security situation in Delhi is already sensitive. Both the Red Fort and Jama Masjid are major historical and cultural places that are visited by a large number of tourists and devotees every day. Following this threat, the police and other security agencies have stepped up their surveillance in the area.
