Chaos erupts again in Nepal, army opens fire on prisoners who escaped from jail; 12 injured

  The horrific form of the Gen-Z movement in Nepal has shocked everyone. The curfew in Nepal has now been extended till Friday. Meanwhile, a shocking news has come to light. A large number of prisoners were trying to escape from the Ramechhap district jail in Nepal, on whom the army opened fire. According to the Kathmandu Post, about 12 to 13 prisoners were injured in the firing by the Nepali army to prevent a large-scale escape attempt in the Ramechhap district jail on Thursday morning.

Prisoners trying to escape by breaking the jail

According to information, Shyam Krishna Thapa, Chief District Magistrate of Ramechhap, Nepal, said that the prisoners in the jail broke several internal locks and tried to forcefully open the main door. After this, the security forces started firing.

It was reported that about 12-13 prisoners were injured in the firing as soon as the army reached the gate. It is being said that more than 800 prisoners are lodged in this jail located in Ward 8 of Ramechhap Municipality, Nepal. Police confirmed that all the prisoners have been captured and the situation is now under control.

Jailbreaks increase during protests

According to the Kathmandu Post, attempts to break out of jails were seen on Wednesday during the ongoing Gen Z protests in the country. Security of the jail has been increased. In addition, personnel of the Nepal Police and the Armed Forces have been deployed to protect the jail.

It is being told that more than 15,000 prisoners escaped from more than 25 jails across the country in the biggest jailbreak in Nepal's history, citing a preliminary report released on Wednesday evening. As per the information so far, only a few prisoners have returned voluntarily or have been recaptured by the army.
