Will not allow politicians to use temples till Khalistani terrorism is tackled: Hindu organisation

Ottawa: Attacks on Hindus and temples by Khalistan supporters in Canada are not stopping. The latest incident took place on Sunday in the city of Brampton. Khalistani extremists staged a protest in front of the Hindu Sabha temple and within a short time it turned into a violent protest. The protesters forcibly entered the complex and attacked the members of the temple administration and the devotees. They brutally beat women and children. Not only this, the Khalistan supporters also targeted the visa camp organized by the temple administration and the Indian High Commission near the temple complex. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned the incident and said that violence in the temple is not acceptable. On the other hand, India strongly condemned the incident and demanded strict action against the culprits. In the videos that are coming out, it can be clearly seen that a group of Khalistani extremists came in vehicles in front of the temple. They beat up the devotees gathered there with Khalistani flags. Police personnel were seen calming the situation. Peel Regional Police said it was aware of the protest in front of the Hindu Sabha temple. Accordingly, the presence of police forces was increased in the temple complex to maintain security.

Police chief Nishan Duraiappa said that we respect peaceful protest but will not tolerate violence and criminal activities. The attackers will be arrested and strict action will be taken. After the incident, more security personnel have been deployed around the temple complex. The Peel Regional Police also said that three people were arrested after a demonstration organized by a coalition of Hindus following attacks on pilgrims. Peel Regional Police said demonstrations were then held at two different locations within the city of Mississauga. On the other hand, the Indian High Commission said in a statement that on November 3, we organized a council camp near the temple in Brampton, near Toronto, together with the Hindu Sabha temple. There, anti-India elements targeted the camp. During the consular camps held in Vancouver and Surrey on November 2 and 3, Khalistani supporters also obstructed. This kind of mess is very frustrating for regular consular work. We are also very concerned for the safety of visa applicants, including Indian nationals, on whose demand such camps are conducted. The High Commission said that despite these obstacles, more than 1,000 certificates were issued to Indian and Canadian applicants. Meanwhile, the Canadian National Hindu Council and the Hindu Federation, together with the Hindu Sabha temple administration and several Hindu organizations, have made it clear that Hindu temples and institutions across Canada will not allow politicians to use temple facilities for political purposes until such time. will not allow unless they take concrete action on the serious issue of growing Khalistani terrorism in the country. CNCH said that attacks on Hindus have increased at an alarming rate under the Trudeau-led government of Canada and indicate an alarming trend of religious intolerance in the country.
