Addressing the first Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Samarkand, the capital of Uzbekistan on Friday, and later in a bilateral meeting with leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, PM Modi said this. and emphasized that everyone should focus on solving issues like energy crisis, food crisis and fertilizer crisis. India has told the SCO countries that mutual cooperation and mutual trust should be increased among them.

Modi strongly emphasized India's economic progress and said that India is going to become a manufacturing hub and will achieve an economic growth rate of 7.5 percent this year, which will be the highest among the major economies of the world. Modi also raised the issue of food and energy security in the face of the world, especially developing countries, due to the Ukraine war. The PM thanked Russia as well as Ukraine for helping to evacuate thousands of Indian students at the start of the war.
