Even on the 20th day, the funeral of Parvinder Singh Jhota, the prominent leader of the Anti-Drug Task Force, could not take place. Apart from this, the matter of the cremation of Daljit Singh, a young man of village Bhamme Kalan, has also become entangled. On the 6th day, Daljit Singh's family refused to perform the last rites, while Parvinder Jhota's cremation action committee and the family persisted in demanding the resignation of the Chief Minister and the DGP. On the 20th day also, the dharna continued in the three-cornered square of Mansa and on November 5, plans were made to lay siege to the Sangrur Kothi of the Chief Minister. Addressing the protest, Parvinder Jhota's father Bhim Singh said that of course this struggle and movement may take months, but without the fulfillment of the demands, he will not perform his son's last rites. He said that the police should release the youths who have been arrested from different places for tearing down posters in Bhamme Kalan and all over the state and cancel all the cases. Only after this will they have any interaction with the government, otherwise they will have no contact with the government. Daljit's family has also filed a plea in the High Court. Daljit's sister Amarjit Kaur has filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court seeking a CBI investigation, post-mortem from PGI Chandigarh doctors and security for the family, which will be heard on November 2 tomorrow. He said that the police have taken away the body of Daljit and prevented him from the funeral.
