The Supreme Court today admitted the amended petition of environmental activist Sonam Wangchuk's wife Geetanjali J Angmo challenging his detention and sought a response from the Centre and the Union Territory of Ladakh within ten days. A bench of Justices Arvind Kumar and NV Anjaria asked Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Centre and the Union Territory of Ladakh, to file a reply on the amended petition and adjourned the matter for November 24. The bench also allowed senior advocate Kapil Sibal to file a memorandum (reply to a question or comment).
