  The brutality of the Pakistani army is being witnessed in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Eight civilians were killed on Wednesday in the third consecutive day of violent protests against the Pakistan government. According to sources, four people died in Dhirkot in Bagh district, two in Muzaffarabad and two in Mirpur. Two more deaths were reported in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday. Large-scale protests in Jammu and Kashmir In the last 72 hours, large-scale protests have taken place across occupied Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of the Awami Action Committee over the issue of ‘violation of fundamental rights’, with markets, shops and local businesses completely closed, and transport services also disrupted. On Wednesday morning, protesters pelted stones and large shipping containers strategically placed on bridges into the river below to block their march towards Muzaffarabad. The protesters have 38 demands, including the abolition of 12 seats in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly reserved for Kashmiri refugees living in Pakistan, which locals say undermines representative governance. Pakistan army brutality in Jammu and Kashmir The Pakistani army has continued its brutality in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, and thousands of troops have been sent back from neighboring Punjab province, Pakistani news website Dawn reported. Sources said 1,000 additional troops have been sent from the capital Islamabad. The Pakistani government has also banned internet access in the region. Thirty civilians killed in Pakistani air force strikes - Chinese-made J-17 fighter jets dropped Chinese-made LS-6 laser-guided bombs on a village in the country's remote Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
