  Jharkhand students protest: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren has said that the examination system in the state will be made completely transparent, technologically equipped and accountable so that students do not face any kind of problem and every deficiency that comes to light in this process will be eliminated as soon as possible.

Addressing the protesting job aspirants, the Chief Minister said that in a democracy, students have full right to express their opinion and it is the main responsibility of the government to respect that right. He assured that the Jharkhand government will consider all the demands of the students with full seriousness and sensitivity.

Devendra Mahato, who has been on hunger strike for 9 days, admitted to hospital
J.L.K.M., who has been on hunger strike for the last nine days over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations in Jharkhand, (JLKM) leader Devendra Nath Mahato was admitted to a hospital here after his health deteriorated after participating in a march by protesting students.

Doctors have described Mahato's condition as critical due to a "very high" drop in blood sugar levels. "He is being treated in the emergency ward," said Nancy Priya, medical officer at Ranchi Sadar Hospital.

One of Mahato's colleagues, Pankaj Kumar, who was with him at the hospital, claimed that he was injured during the police lathicharge near the assembly.

Several protesters and four police personnel were injured in clashes near the Jharkhand assembly on Monday as the police used water cannons, tear gas and baton charges on job seekers protesting against alleged irregularities in recruitment exams, officials said.
