  The court has reserved its verdict on the quantum of punishment against Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in a 1984 anti-Sikh riots case till February 25. During the hearing, the complainant had sought death penalty for the former Congress MP. The complainant, through his lawyer, made the plea before Special Judge Kaveri Baweja, who reserved the verdict on the quantum of punishment against Sajjan Kumar till February 25. Senior advocate HS Phoolka, appearing for the complainant, told the court that the accused was a mob leader who incited others to commit genocide and crimes against humanity and brutal massacres. He should be awarded death penalty. The court has asked Kumar's lawyer to file his written statement within two days.
