IPL 2026: Kolkata Knight Riders beat Gujarat Titans by 29 runs; play-off hopes remain intact

  Kolkata, Oct 11 (IANS) Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) kept their play-off hopes alive in a thrilling and high-scoring IPL match played in Kolkata on Saturday by defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) by 29 runs. Batting first, KKR posted a mammoth score of 247 for 2 in 20 overs, thanks to a blistering knock by Finn Allen. In reply, Gujarat Titans could only manage 218 for 4 in 20 overs despite a brilliant effort.

Kolkata, who opted to bat first after losing the toss, got off to a flying start. Opener Finn Allen scored 93 runs in just 35 balls. After Allen's dismissal, Raghuvanshi scored an unbeaten 82 off 44 balls and joined forces with Cameron Green (52 not out) to put on an unbeaten 108 off 53 balls to take the team to a score of 247.
