Punjab government transfers health facilities: Punjab government transfers four health centers to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences

  The state government has ordered the merger of four major health institutions with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot. The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the cabinet.

According to the information, Civil Hospital Badal, Muktsar, Civil Hospital Sri Khadoor Sahib, Tarn Taran, Community Health Centre Jalalabad and Cancer Care Centre, Fazilka have now been merged with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.

According to the orders received here today, BFUHS will now bear all the expenses of these institutions including salaries and general administrative expenses but the doctors and staff posted here will remain under the Health and Family Welfare Department. They will be posted at other places later as per the policy of the department. During this, it will also be ensured that their seniority and cadre management are not affected.
