Will Trump go to jail before taking oath as President? No relief from court; Sentencing to be announced today

President-elect Donald Trump has failed to get relief from the Supreme Court in the case of illegal hush money payments in the US. On Thursday, the Supreme Court rejected Trump's appeal by a New York court to stay the sentence. New York's Manhattan court will sentence Trump on Friday. Earlier on Thursday, records related to the $ 1,30,000 payment made by Trump to star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet were presented before the Supreme Court. The prosecutor argued in the Manhattan court that there is no need for the Supreme Court's intervention in this matter. After this, the Supreme Court refused to stay the announcement of the sentence on the petition of Trump's lawyers. Meanwhile, Manhattan Court Judge Juan Marchon indicated that he does not feel the need to sentence Trump to prison. It is being told that Daniels was given money before the 2016 presidential election for a relationship that began in 2006.
