Los Angeles wildfires updates: Los Angeles fire still out of control, 10 people dead, 1.80 lakh homeless

The fire that broke out in the forest near Los Angeles, the second largest city in America, is still out of control for the fourth day on Tuesday morning. The fire has engulfed a large part of the fashion-fascinated city of Los Angeles and more than 10,000 buildings have been reduced to ashes. Despite lakhs of rescue efforts, 10 people have lost their lives and more than 1,80,000 people have had to leave their homes. Two lakh other people have been asked to be ready to move to safer places. Strong winds and dry weather in the area are thwarting efforts to control the fire. It is being considered the biggest tragedy in the state of California.

The fire, which started with a spark from the Pacific Palisades, has been prevented from reaching the glory of the film world, Hollywood. Every effort was made to prevent the fire from reaching the Hollywood Hills, which were successful, but strong winds in other areas are not allowing the pace of destruction to slow down. The fire has so far engulfed more than 34,000 acres (53 square miles) of land and burned everything there to ashes. Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna has said that looking at the destruction, it looks like a nuclear bomb has been dropped on the city. The fire has so far caused an estimated $ 150 billion in property damage. This could put a huge financial burden on insurance companies operating in the region.

President Joe Biden has called the fire a major tragedy. He has said that the federal government will complete 100 percent of the relief measures within 180 days. These will include everything from salaries to removing the rubble of destroyed buildings, but all the victims are skeptical about the government's efforts. K. Young, 63, a frail woman, sits on the steps of her fire-ravaged home and cries. She does not think anyone will be able to restore her home, which has been inhabited for generations, to its former condition. Many people affected by the fire were also seen expressing their displeasure with the government's measures to control the fire.

Forest fire spreads in five directions

The fire in Los Angeles County has spread in five directions due to the wind. An attempt is being made to extinguish the fire by dropping water and fire-extinguishing chemicals from the sky using planes and helicopters. A large Super Scooper aircraft was also hired from Canada for this task, but it was damaged after colliding with a private drone and had to be brought down to the ground.
