Jammu Kashmir: In the terrorist case, NIA conducted raids at 9 places in Jammu and Kashmir, wires connected to Lashkar-e-Toiba

  Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday raided nine locations in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar in a case related to terrorist activities. Under a case registered by the agency in 2022, raids were conducted in the early hours of Monday with the help of security forces at various locations linked to persons linked to terrorism.

Search operation in encounter case
Acting on specific information received in connection with some suspects living in Srinagar (Srinagar News), the Anti-Terrorism Agency started a search. The search operation was conducted almost a month after the NIA filed a chargesheet against the two accused in the Kokarnag (Jammu and Kashmir) encounter case.

TRF involved in inciting Kashmiri youth

Sources said that the suspects in the case are associated with The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Both Lashkar and TRF are banned organizations and are involved in continuously inciting and inciting Kashmiri youth to join terrorist organizations in the name of 'Jihad'.

Both the organizations are working on social media platforms like Twitter, Telegram and YouTube channels to promote their cause and encourage unemployed youth to carry out terrorist activities.

Lashkar-e-Taiba is the largest terrorist group formed in the early 1990s and has been active in reviving the network in the Anantnag region. It is functioning through various branches in Jammu and Kashmir region.
