  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that India supports a secure and sustainable space sector based on international law. He remarked, "The possibilities in space are limitless, and our responsibility is collective." Addressing the inaugural International Space Summit in Paris virtually, Modi noted that ISRO's technologies and partnerships are benefiting the entire world, including India. He also invited France and other nations to become 'co-travelers' in India's next-generation space exploration. The Prime Minister stated that India's vision is rooted in the spirit of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'—meaning 'One Earth, One Family, One Future'—and that this same spirit should extend beyond Earth into space. Modi stated that the dedication and hard work of several generations of Indian scientists, engineers, and technicians—who worked day and night to establish ISRO's stature—lie behind this global trust. He noted that with Chandrayaan-3, India has become the first nation to reach the vicinity of the Moon's south pole. He mentioned that an Indian astronaut visited the International Space Station last year. He also thanked French President Emmanuel Macron for the invitation to the summit. He emphasized that the clear message from the space summit in Paris should be that collaborative research be undertaken for the welfare of all humanity and that space be made secure.
