New Delhi: Canada has not yet issued the death certificate of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijhar. Several months ago, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) had sought Nijhar's death certificate. Sources said that the Canadian government has asked the NIA for the reason for seeking Nijhar's death certificate. Nijhar was shot dead outside a Gurdwara in Surrey, British Columbia in June last year. Nijhar was a citizen of Canada. The National Investigation Agency declared him a terrorist in 2020. The relationship between India and Canada has become extremely bad over this matter, since the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, accused India of having a hand in the killing of the buffalo. However, they did not produce any evidence in this regard. India has dismissed all the allegations as baseless and has accused Canada of harboring extremist and anti-Indian elements in its country. Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau admitted that his government did not provide concrete evidence to India regarding the killing of a buffalo on Canadian soil, but only intelligence information. Meanwhile, the NIA is investigating six cases involving another Khalistani terrorist, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu. NIA has so far seized three properties of Pannu in Chandigarh. In Amritsar, the land associated with him has also been confiscated. Pannu has also been declared a terrorist by India. He has American and Canadian citizenship.
