  Sikkim, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah is in Sikkim's capital Gangtok on Friday. This is a three-day visit of Shah. The Union Home Minister today inaugurated the East and North-East Zone Dairy Cooperative Summit 2022. Meanwhile, Amit Shah said that about 70 percent of the milk goes to the market unorganized. When it goes to the market in an unorganized manner, the farmers do not get the right price for it. The challenge for us is to reduce the 70 percent going into the unorganized milk market to 20 percent. Along with this, he said that the work of empowering the farmers, artisans, fishermen, tribals of the country should be done through cooperation and for this a dialogue should be held with the Ministry of Cooperation. So far the co-operative is run by the Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture. Earlier, Amit Shah was warmly welcomed on the streets of Gangtok. Amit Shah has shared a video on Twitter. He also wrote, 'Grateful to the people of Sikkim for such a warm welcome in Gangtok.
