London: The world's busiest airport, Heathrow, has extended the current flight restrictions and the maximum number of daily passengers until October 29. Currently, only one lakh people are allowed to travel from this airport daily. It is believed that the airport administration has taken this decision due to the pressure on the lack of employees and services. In July, the daily limit of people traveling from the airport was fixed at one lakh and it was going to end on September 11. On Monday, the airport announced that it would continue until the end of October. This will affect the families planning to go somewhere during the half-term holidays in schools. Ross Barker, Chief Commercial Officer of Heathrow Airport, said, 'Our first concern is to ensure that we provide our passengers with a reliable service when they travel. We want to lift the restriction on passenger limit soon but that will be possible only when we are fully confident of providing better services to all passengers.
