India-Pak conflict: China admits to helping Pakistan during four-day conflict with India

China has admitted for the first time that it provided technical assistance to Pakistan during the four-day conflict with India last year, state media reported.

China's state-run channel CCTV on Thursday interviewed an engineer named Zhang Heng, who works at the Chengdu Institute of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC), the main design institute for China's modern fighter jets and drones.

Hong Kong's South China Morning Post quoted CCTV as saying that Zhang provided technical assistance to Pakistan during the four-day war in May. The Pakistan Air Force uses the Chinese-made J-10CE fighter jets, which are manufactured by a subsidiary of AVIC.
