Hindu leader killed in Bangladesh, India expresses displeasure, reprimands Muhammad Yunus

  Minority Hindus are being continuously atrocities in Bangladesh. Meanwhile, the case of kidnapping and murder of a prominent Hindu minority leader Bhabesh Chandra Roy has come to light in northern Bangladesh. India has expressed deep sorrow over this incident. Along with this, the Yunus government of Bangladesh has also been reprimanded. New Delhi condemned the incident and accused the Bangladeshi interim government led by Muhammad Yunus of failing to protect its minority communities.

Statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs

Regarding this incident in Bangladesh, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal tweeted that we are saddened by the kidnapping and brutal murder of Hindu minority leader Bhabesh Chandra Roy in Bangladesh.

He further wrote that this murder follows the pattern of systematic atrocities on Hindu minorities under the interim government, while the perpetrators of previous such incidents continue to roam with impunity. We condemn this incident and once again remind the interim government to fulfill its responsibility to protect all minorities, including Hindus, without any excuse or discrimination.
