Islamabad: The law and order situation in Pakistan is getting worse. It is the third worst country in the world in terms of law and order situation. It has been ranked 140 out of 142 countries in the World Justice Project (WJP) Rule of Law Index. Mali and Nigeria are the only countries that are below Pakistan in terms of bad law and order. Denmark ranks first in terms of better law and order. It is followed by Norway, Finland, Sweden and Germany.

The report has evaluated the countries on the basis of various factors. It includes constraints on government powers, absence of corruption, fundamental rights, law and order, regulatory enforcement etc. The report shows that there has been a huge decline in law and order in Pakistan.
