Preparing for major changes in the constitution of Pakistan, what is Shahbaz government's secret plan?

Islamabad: The coalition government in Pakistan led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is all set to introduce the proposed controversial judicial reform bill. On Sunday, the Cabinet approved the proposed draft of the 26th Constitutional Amendment. A constitutional amendment needs to be passed by a two-thirds majority in the National Assembly and the Senate separately. There is no official information about the details of the modifications yet. However, according to reports, the bill is aimed at weakening the power of an independent judiciary. The government wants to make an amendment to prevent the senior-most judge of the Supreme Court from automatically becoming the Chief Justice. The government has proposed a special parliamentary panel to appoint the chief justice from among the top three judges of the court, if passed, the government can block Justice Masoor Ali Shah from replacing the current chief justice. Chief Justice Qazi Faiz is scheduled to retire on October 25.
