US Election 2024: Sunita Williams will vote from space, how will this be possible, the process is interesting

  New Delhi: NASA astronauts Sunita Williams (Sunita Williams Cast Vote) and Butch Wilmore (Butch Wilmore) are stuck in space. In the first week of June this year, the Boeing Starliner spacecraft carried Sunita and Butch into space. NASA has informed that it will bring the two stranded astronauts back to Earth in February 2025. Along with this, presidential elections are to be held on November 5 in America. Understand the whole process

Since 1997, NASA astronauts have been voting in elections from the space station. Astronauts are voting via electronic ballots from an orbiting laboratory aboard the space station. Electronic ballots are sent via satellite frequency to the space station, after which astronauts cast their votes.

The electronic ballots are then sent back to Earth. These votes are encrypted before being sent to NASA's Mission Control Center in Houston. It is then forwarded to the appropriate county clerk.
