Lalu Yadav Arrest Warrant: A big blow to Lalu Yadav before the elections, the MP Court issued an arrest warrant.

Patna: Lalu Yadav has suffered a major setback amid the Lok Sabha elections. The MP-Legislative Court of Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) has issued a permanent arrest warrant against Lalu Yadav. Let it be known that Lalu Yadav is an accused in a case of arms smuggling. A total of 23 people have been charged in this case.

A permanent warrant has already been issued against Lalu Yadav, after which he was declared a fugitive. However, it was not confirmed at that time whether the accused Lalu Prasad Yadav is the Chief Minister of Bihar or someone else. Later the matter reached the Parliamentary-Legislative Court and during the process it became clear that the accused Lalu Prasad Yadav is the former Chief Minister of Bihar.

Along with this, the process of issuing a permanent warrant against him has now been completed. The police can also keep the person named in this warrant in their custody for 24 hours in the police station.

What is the matter?

It should be said that Rajkumar Sharma, the operator of an ammunition store located in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, committed fraud in the sale of firearms, in which a complaint was filed by Pravesh Kumar Chaturvedi, a resident of Gwalior and operator of Parkash Ammunition Store. It happened in the year 1997 in Inderganj police station. The complaint stated that Rajkumar Sharma had bought arms and cartridges from a firm in Gwalior and sold them in Bihar.

The police had registered a case on the complaint. The challan presented in the court included the names of 23 accused, including the name of Lalu Prasad Yadav.

However, till now the police has not been able to catch Lalu Prasad Yadav in this case. It is worth mentioning that this fraud continued from 1995 to 1997. Meanwhile, two accused have died.
