New Delhi: Chinese police have detained a man for allegedly creating fake news of a train accident and using artificial intelligence technology to post the information on multiple accounts and circulate it online. This is said to be China's first arrest for misuse of chatgpt.

Fake news created using AI

Police in northwestern Gansu province said in a statement on Sunday that a suspect identified as Hong has been detained on charges of providing false information using artificial intelligence technology. According to the report, the police received a fake news claiming that nine people had died in a local train accident on April 25.

Hong Kong-based South China Morning Post gave this information on Monday. Cyber security officials in Kongtong County found simultaneous postings by more than 20 accounts on a blog platform run by Chinese search engine giant Baidu.
