Queen Camilla, wife of King Charles III, will not wear the Kohinoor crown

New Delhi: Queen Consort Camilla Kohinoor, wife of King Charles III, will not wear a diamond-encrusted tiara. After the death of Queen Elizabeth II, the Kohinoor diamond-encrusted crown was presented to Queen Consort Camilla, wife of King Charles III.

Camilla will be crowned Queen Mary at the coronation of King Charles III. The crown is more than 100 years old and was worn by him at his coronation in 1911. For this, Queen Mary's crown has been removed from the Tower of London exhibition. Buckingham Palace announced the news on its Instagram account. Let us tell that for the first time in history, a queen's wife is going to wear the crown of Queen Maryada.

According to information, some changes will also be made in the crown worn by Camilla. The Cullinan III, IV and V diamonds will be set in the crown worn by Camille. All these diamonds were used by Queen Elizabeth II in her worn jewelry.

According to plans, the coronation of King Charles and his queen consort, Camilla, will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Westminster Abbey. Queen Elizabeth II announced earlier this year that Camilla would be known as Queen Consort. However, Camilla will have no constitutional powers.
