Pakistan: Big blow to Imran Khan from Lahore High Court, petition against contesting in nine seats rejected

  LAHORE, AGENCY: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday decided Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan to contest on all 9 vacant seats in the National Assembly (NA). Dismissed the petition against Lahore High Court Justice Shahid Jameel Khan heard the petition challenging the decision of PTI chief Imran Khan.

ARY News reported that Justice Shahid Khan asked the lawyer representing the petitioner whether the nomination papers had been submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Terming the matter as 'immature', the court said that the petitioner should wait till the filing of nomination papers and then first file his objection with the Election Commission and then approach the courts.
