  Canada Wildfires Update: Canada is currently facing one of the most severe wildfire crises in its history. Wildfires are continuing to spread in hundreds of places from British Columbia to the Atlantic provinces. According to statistics, wildfires have broken out in more than 950 places across the country, of which 241 places are still out of control. So far, about 2.9 million (2.9 million) hectares of forest have been burned to ashes, while thousands of people have had to leave their homes and move to safer places. The thick smoke rising from the wildfires has severely degraded air quality in many provinces. Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued air quality alerts for many areas and advised people not to leave their homes unnecessarily.
