Chandigarh Traffic Alert: PGI main gate will be closed for a few hours on March 1

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has announced that the main gate of the institution will remain closed from 4 am to 10 am on Sunday due to traffic arrangements in the city. The traffic advisory has been issued in view of the first 'Chandigarh International Marathon' to be held on Sunday, which will start at 7 am from the Chandigarh Club in Sector-1. According to the hospital administration, patients, staff and visitors have been advised to use alternative routes to reach the hospital. During this, the Sector-11 gate and other designated gates will remain open so that there is no disruption in emergency services. Officials have appealed to the people to travel at the right time to avoid any inconvenience. Traffic from the main gate will be restored to normal after 10 am.
