  On the eve of Independence Day, the Central Government awarded nine Indian Air Force officers with the Vir Chakra for their brave contribution in the service of the country during Operation Sindoor. Let us tell you that nine Indian Air Force officers have been awarded the Vir Chakra. The brave soldiers who have been awarded include fighter pilots who targeted the headquarters and military assets of terrorist groups of the neighboring country in Muridke and Bahawalpur in Pakistan. These nine soldiers were awarded the Vir Chakra Group Captain (GP): Ranjit Singh Sidhu, Manish Arora, Animesh Patni, Kunal Kalra Wing Commander (WG CDR): Joy Chandra Squadron Leader (Squadron Leader): Sarthak Kumar, Siddhant Singh, Rizwan Malik Flight Lieutenant (FLT LT): Arshvir Singh Thakur.
