If you are going to enjoy the cool and beautiful valleys of Himachal Pradesh, then apart from your clothes bag, you have to keep another special type of bag in the car. If you do not do this then you will not get entry in Himachal. The Himachal Pradesh High Court has issued this order by giving a new decision. Garbage bags have been made mandatory for tourists coming to the state to promote sustainable tourism so that they can carry their waste back during their visit. Every year lakhs of tourists from home and abroad come to visit Himachal. Many people come to this hilly state especially in the summer season. Due to the arrival of so many tourists, a lot of garbage accumulates in Himachal and the mountain environment starts getting polluted. Keeping this in view, the bench of Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan and Justice Sushil Kukreja of the Himachal Pradesh High Court has issued this order on public interest petitions related to environmental concerns in Himachal Pradesh. He has given orders to improve the environment-related waste management system in the state. Recently, the Uttarakhand government had also issued such orders, in which it has been made mandatory for tourists coming to the state to keep dustbins or garbage bags in their vehicles.
