  New Delhi: Tata Group will buy 250 aircraft from Airbus in the world's largest aviation deal. Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran said on Tuesday that Air India will buy 250 aircraft from Airbus, including 40 widebody aircraft. The Tata Group-owned airline will buy 40 wide-body A350 aircraft and 210 narrow-body aircraft. Wide body aircraft will be used for long distance air travel. Tata Group's big deal In a program Tata has entered into an agreement with Airbus for the acquisition of aircraft. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron were also part of the virtual event. Tata Group had acquired Air India in January last year. In a video conference with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Ratan Tata, French President Emmanuel Macron and other leaders, Airbus Chief Executive Guillaume Fourie said it was a historic moment.
