7 people, 2 companies charged in Hong Kong fire case last year

  Hong Kong authorities on Wednesday charged 7 people and 2 companies with a range of serious charges, including manslaughter and conspiracy to commit fraud, in connection with last year's devastating fire. The fire broke out on November 26, 2025, engulfing seven buildings and killing 168 people.

The incident occurred at Wang Fuk Court in the suburban area of ​​Tai Po, where thousands of people lived.
