South Africa will be barred from participating in G20 summit: Trump

  President Donald Trump said Wednesday he is barring South Africa from participating in next year’s Group of 20 summit in Miami and will halt all payments and subsidies to the country over the treatment of a U.S. government representative at this year’s global meeting.

Trump decided not to include the U.S. delegation in the recent summit hosted by South Africa, saying he did so because white Afrikaners were being violently harassed. However, the claim has been dismissed as baseless by South Africa, which has been mired in decades of apartheid.
