Shubhaanshu Shukla's historic Axiom-4 mission postponed due to bad weather; will now launch on this date

  The launch of the much-awaited Axiom-4 mission, which will send Indian Air Force Group Captain Subhanshu Shukla to the International Space Station, has been postponed to June 11 due to adverse weather conditions at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Originally scheduled for June 10, the historic mission marks India's return to human spaceflight after four decades.

ISRO posted on X, "Due to weather conditions, the launch of Axiom-4 mission to send an Indian astronaut to the International Space Station has been postponed from June 10, 2025 to June 11, 2025. The target launch time is 5:30 PM IST on June 11, 2025."

The historic mission marks India's return to human spaceflight after more than four decades, following Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma's 1984 Soviet mission. Subhanshu Shukla is set to become the first Indian astronaut to travel to space through a private commercial mission.
