Sunita Williams will not return to Earth before March 19, NASA gives big update

Washington: (Sunita Williams News) It will take time for Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams to return. Sunita has been stuck on the International Space Station (ISS) with her fellow astronaut Butch Wilmore for nine months. Now NASA has given a new update on her return.

Sunita's return is difficult before March 19
Sunita Williams will not return to Earth before March 19, NASA has confirmed.

It is worth noting that Williams and Wilmore went on an ISS mission in June 2024, which was for eight days, but they were stuck there due to a technical fault in Boeing's Starliner spacecraft.

Delay in rescue operation
NASA had earlier planned to launch Crew-10 but the mission was delayed due to strong winds and rain on the launch pad. In addition, SpaceX engineers have encountered a hydraulic system problem with the ground support clamp arm for the Falcon 9 rocket at Launch Complex 39A.

Technical glitch and weather
According to a new report from NASA, conditions will not be suitable for the return if the launch takes place on March 15 or 16 due to bad weather.

That is why Crew-10 will arrive at the ISS on March 15. They will then spend a few days adjusting before taking over from Crew-9, which includes Nick Hague, Sunita Williams, Butch Wilmore and Alexander Gorbunov.

The agency said Sunita and her crew will not return to Earth before March 19.
