All attempts by Rahul-Priyanka to get well failed, they returned to Delhi from Ghazipur border; said - we will continue to fight

All attempts by Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi to go to Sambhal failed. The police stopped their convoy at the Ghazipur border, after which they returned to Delhi. It is worth mentioning that there is a ban on the entry of outsiders in violence-hit Sambhal till December 10. Despite the ban, Rahul Gandhi wanted to go to Sambhal and meet the families of those killed in the riots. Rahul Gandhi said, 'We are trying to go to Sambhal but the police are not giving permission. As the leader of the opposition, it is my right to go, but still they are stopping me. I said that I am ready to go alone.' I am ready to go with the police but they did not agree to this. Now they are saying that if we return in a few days, they will let us go.

'This is against the rights of the leader of the opposition'

Rahul further said, 'This is against the rights of the leader of the opposition, they should let me go.' This is against the Constitution, we just want to come together, meet people and see what happened there. I am not being given my constitutional rights. This is new India, this is the India that is destroying the Constitution, we will keep fighting.’

Priyanka Gandhi said – Rahul should be allowed to go to Sambhal

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, ‘Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the opposition. He has constitutional rights and he should be allowed to meet. He (Sambhal) should have been allowed to go.’ She said, ‘Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the opposition, he has constitutional rights, he cannot be stopped like this. It is his constitutional right, he should be allowed to go to meet the victims. He also said that he will go alone with the UP police but the police have no answer for this.’
