'Ratan Tata would have been very happy if he was alive today', said PM Modi at the inauguration of C-295 aircraft complex.

  Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Spanish President Pedro Sanchez held a road show in Vadodara. After this, the two leaders inaugurated the final assembly line plant of C295 aircraft in Vadodara today. In Vadodara, Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the Tata Aircraft Complex at the Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) complex with President Pedro Sanchez. Along with this, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of the Rs 4900 crore development project in Amreli.

TATA's aircraft manufacturing plant inaugurated
In Vadodara, Prime Minister Modi along with Spanish President Pedro Sanchez inaugurated the Tata Aircraft Complex for the manufacture of C-295 aircraft at the Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) campus.

56 aircraft will be manufactured under the C-295 programme. 16 aircraft are being supplied directly by Airbus from Spain. Along with this, 40 aircraft will be manufactured in India. Tata Advanced Systems Limited is going to manufacture these 40 aircraft in India. In Amreli, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of projects worth around Rs 4900 crore.

The Prime Minister further said that when I was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, it was decided to set up a factory in Vadodara to make railway coaches. The factory was also geared up for production in record time. Today we are exporting metro coaches made in that factory to other countries. I am confident that in the future the aircraft manufactured in this factory will be exported to other countries as well.
