Governor vs Punjab Govt: Punjabi Jagran Bureau, Chandigarh: The rift between the Governor and CM of Punjab is increasing. Governor Banwari Lal Purohit has issued a letter to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann ordering the immediate removal of the Vice Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University. In this letter, he has written that PAU Vice Chancellor Dr. Appointment of Satbir Singh Gosal is not as per UGC norms. They have ordered the immediate removal of Ghosal, calling it illegal.

It may be mentioned that earlier Governor Banwari Lal Purohit had also objected to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's arbitrary appointment of the Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University and asked to send a panel of three names for the appointment of the Vice Chancellor. Although later Dr. Gurpreet Singh Wander himself withdrew his name.
